Yes, but it’s really not an economical choice. Usually the price of your oils at retail is the same or higher than getting a wholesale membership and the discount on the oils. Choosing a Starter Kit waives the membership fee and bundles oils together, saving you TONS of money. If you want to create a custom kit for your needs, just choose the $35 Introductory Packet at checkout and then add the bottles you want individually.
Nope! You can buy just once and never buy again if that’s your thing (highly unlikely, we all kinda become addicts 😉 but don’t worry it’s a good thing to be addicted to!)
You can buy once or twice a year, or five times a month! One thing you should know, however, there is a totally awesome, and completely optional, monthly ordering program called Loyalty Rewards. It qualifies you to earn free product points and a free oil each month when you opt-in. Almost everyone is in love with this program, because we get so much free stuff in return. I have an easy video tutorial that I’ll send you after you get your membership set up, which will show you the benefits of the program and ways to get your free oils, and how opt-out of it if you choose to in the future. No mandatory ordering here! It’s totally up to you how often and how much you purchase.
Not at all. I mean sure, if you live nearby you’re definitely welcome to join, but you’re not gonna miss out on anything if you don’t live close by.
I use email, social media, this website, etc. everything is set up so you can learn how to use your essential oils online, so it doesn’t matter where you are in the world, you’re welcome to join!
Education is VERY important to me! When I started using essential oils, I was pretty much on my own and had to look for all the information myself. That’s why I do things differently (and why it’s important to join a team that focuses on educating and supporting new members!) I want you to have easy access to all the information you need to jumpstart your essential oil journey.
Each of my new members have the option of receiving a personal consultation with ME! (if it’s your thing, it’s not required) We’ll discuss your health goals, lay out a step by step plan for using your oils, and be sure you feel completely confident with your new goodies. You’ll also have access to my private online community! It’s a great place to be supported as you learn, hear testimonials from others, and receive quick responses to your questions. I’m super proud of it, and I know it will be a great resource to you!
Our team also has a wonderful resource called Oil Camp – a 2 week training (through FB or text) where we share videos, tips, tricks, and challenges on how to use your new essential oils. Upon completion of Oil Camp, you will know the essential oil basics, lots of great info on the top 10 essential oils, and how to implement essential oils into your daily lifestyle.
Nope. You obviously have the option to sell if you choose too, but the majority of doTERRA’s members only sign up for the membership so they can get the wholesale discount. Seriously, it’s like 65% or more that NEVER sell a single oil, just use them for themselves. It’s all up to you.
No. Pyramid schemes are illegal and doTERRA is 100% above board – no illegal, shady stuff going on here!
doTERRA is a network marketing company, sometimes called MLM or multi-level marketing, entirely different situation here. With a pyramid scheme, you’re required to “buy in” with thousands of dollars upfront. No such thing happening with doTERRA! You can start sharing about oils with nothing more than the $35 membership (although I do recommend getting at least a couple oils to try so you can experience the oils yourself first).
doTERRA sources the purest oils for us, and then lets us earn an affiliate income when we share them with others – just like you’d share your favorite Netflix show with your friends – except Netflix doesn’t pay you when you tell your friends ‘you gotta watch this show!’
We then have the opportunity to share what we’ve learned about essential oils – how to use them, marketing them, building relationships with the people we’ve shared oils with, etc. – the same way you’d tell a friend ‘if you loved that series, you should totally watch xyz’ or ‘I found this great restaurant that I think you’d love! try the chocolate cake. It’s the best I’ve ever had!’
That’s what network marketing is, you saying ‘I’ve found this great product and I think you will love it!’
Looking at it from a business perspective, network marketing is a great way to market your products through word-of-mouth sharing. It cuts the budget needed, because the company pays their ‘affiliates’ – us – when someone buys products, instead of focusing only on paid advertising. Especially now, when social media makes it so easy for people to share about the products they love to use.
